Meet Dr. Troy Ypma

Meet the Optometrist and Practice Owner of Columbia Falls Eyecare.

Dr. Troy Ypma is a native of Montana that has been serving Columbia Falls and the greater community since 2005. For his undergraduate education he attended Montana State University. He obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. His clinical background includes externships at Madigan Army Hospital in Washington state, Lawton Indian Hospital in Oklahoma, and Optometric Center of Los Angeles.

This training gave extensive experience in managing numerous ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. He is also fully trained in urgent eye conditions such as foreign body removal, abrasions, iritis, and many others. Vast clinical knowledge in fitting contact lenses of all types, including torics and multifocals, was attained during clinical training.

Dr. Troy Ypma is involved with the local Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, and InfantSEE Program.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and supporting Columbia Falls High School activities.
